How do platform fees work?
Both shippers and carriers pay a small percentage of the shipment amount, deducted only when a shipment is completed (no upfront fees). Shippers: 6% on Free, 4% on Premium. Carriers: 5% on Free and Pro, 4% on Partner. There is no fee charged on bids that aren't accepted.
When is payment released to the carrier?
Funds are held in Stripe escrow once the shipper pays. The carrier marks delivery and uploads proof (photo + signature). The shipper has a 24-hour inspection window to confirm or dispute. If no dispute is raised, payment auto-releases to the carrier after 24 hours.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your subscription settings — by default, access continues until the end of the current billing period and you won't be charged again. You can also cancel immediately if you prefer. Subscription fees are non-refundable; see our Refund Policy.
Why do I have to communicate on the platform?
CargoGenix is a one-stop shop — escrow, messaging, documents, and payouts all happen here. To protect that experience for everyone, our Terms of Service require all communication and payments related to a shipment to stay on the platform. Sharing contact info or arranging off-platform deals can result in account suspension.
